Dynamic wrinkles

Dynamic wrinkles or frown lines are caused by the underlying movement of the muscles in the face.  Common areas of concern include the forehead, around the eyes (crows’ feet), between the eyes (glabella), and on the nose (bunny lines).  Theses wrinkles can be softened or minimize with the use of neuromodulators such as Botox or Xeomin.  Minute amounts of the solution are injected into the corresponding muscles that will cause it to relax.  It takes about a week to see the results and lasts about three months, depending on the severity of the problem and how much of the medication is injected.

There is minimal discomfort during the treatment process.  The majority of people do not need any type of numbing.  Numbing cream or ice is available if you so choose.  You can expect a little redness and swelling over the area that typically lasts 15 minutes.  Occasionally, you might have a small bruise that can be easily covered with makeup the same day.

Static wrinkles

Static wrinkles are furrows that are visible when your face is in a relaxed state.  They are caused by repetitive frowning over time, sun damage, and volume loss with the aging process.  Common areas include the smile lines from the sides of nose to corners of mouth, marionette lines from corners of mouth downwards towards the chin, and any other depressions on the face.

These are treated with a gel made of hyaluronic acid that Dr. Le expertly places under the skin in the appropriate area to fill in or lift up the furrow or depression.  You can see some of the results immediately, but the full effect can take up to a week.  Once the gel is placed, it slowly expands over the next several days and thus fills in the wrinkle.  Common fillers that Dr. Le uses include Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero.  These are all made of hyaluronic, a substance that already exists in your skin and joints.  Dr. Le will recommend which one to use depending on your area of concern.  He wants to restore your youthful look while maintaining that natural look.

Cheek Lift

A great area to restore volume and create a youthful appearance is the placement of filler over the cheekbones.  Fullness in the apples of the cheeks is considered one of the feminine features.  This can be easily done by placing filler in just the right area.  Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma can be used for this area.  This popular procedure also helps to support and reduce the laxity of the lower face.  Overall, it can restore the V-shape contour of the face and create a lifting appearance. PDO Thread Lift procedure can also be done and provides a nonsurgical way to lift and support loose skin of the face, jowls, and neck with minimal downtime.

Fuller Lips & Vertical Lip Lines

Restoring a youthful and plump lip is a great procedure that can be achieved with Juvederm or Restylane.  Dr. Le is known for rejuvenating the lips for a natural and conservative appearance.  The goal is to restore or fill just enough for that sensual look without an overly done look.  The gel is precisely placed in the vermillion border and lips itself.  For those with those vertical lip lines, a thinner product is preferred.  By using Belotero, this area can be smoothed out while maintain natural appearance and without that protruding effect. Microneedling with PRP is a great additional treatment for the vertical lip lines to stimulate collagen.  This can be done as a series.

Tired eyes

In addition to treating the crow’s feet around the eyes with Botox/Xeomin, the depression or hollowing under the eyes can be restored with filler such as Belotero.  While this depression can give an impression of a tired or aged appearance, restoring it will make a great difference in appearance.  Using a special technique, Dr. Le places the filler in the precise location.  The dark circle appearance is reduced and the results can be seen in just a few minutes.
